About

Hi!

I am absolutely honored that you're here. My life has been an incredible journey filled with ups and downs, and God's fingerprints can be seen through it all. Here are some highlights along the way.

I grew up in a musical family, both my parents are fantastic singers and instrumentalists. My brother and I both spent many years as music educators. You could say music is in my DNA.

I'm married to the most amazing, gorgeous, thoughtful, kind, Jesus-loving, authentic woman in the world. I married waayy up.

I went to McNally Smith College of Music for piano performance in St. Paul, MN. I eventually became an instructor there, and I can't overstate what an amazing collection of people formed that community. It was there where I met some of the most genuine and inclusive individuals on the planet. Sadly, the school suddenly closed its doors in 2017 and left many of us without jobs and without that close knit community.

I'm a YouTuber. What a strange thing to say! It's amazing how God has opened up this platform. Two weeks before I lost my job in 2017, God exponentially grew my YouTube following and views. He knew what was coming and already had my steps ordered.

In 2015 I finished my PhD in music composition from the University of Minnesota. Some people say it's impressive that I have a doctorate. I think it just took me a long time to learn what I needed!

I love Jesus. There are a lot more ups and downs than what I've shared here. Some amazing victories. And some really, really difficult seasons too. But God has always been right there with me all along. Sometimes in ways visible. And sometimes working behind the scenes.

This scripture passage resonates with me deeply and means a lot for my family:

Deuteronomy 31:8

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.

Thank you for reading and for your support. My sincerest goal is to love God and to love people. I hope you find this site and my music to be encouraging to you today.

God bless!
